Comeback from two years - Guild Wars Forums

Alright guru.. Haven't been on here for years..

Hey guys, this is probably my second comeback post but, just as an estimate, I haven't played in two years. My first come back is a couple months after Nightfall came out, played it, never beat the campaign, stopped playing. After that, I bought eye of the north, but never got to playing it. So now this is another comeback. So far I've beaten the Nightfall campaign, and I just started the Eye of the North one (About to make an allegiance with the Norn).

I've noticed a lot of stuff has changed, skills-wise, and PvP wise. I haven't really gotten into inscriptions yet, so I don't know much about that. There's a lot of new Zaishen stuff/rewards which I have yet to discover. Right now though, I'm mainly focusing on beating EotN. So if anyone could give me an update or basic advice, it would be much appreciated. I haven't been able to find a guild so I haven't really talked to anyone in the game.

Also, one real/direct question. Is there a main town where everyone goes to trade? I've checked Kaineng, Lions Arch, Kamadan, and they all usually have a couple of districts. Is it like that with all towns? or is there a town which I don't know about and have yet to discover?

kamadan is the main place for trade you just need to go to d1 (if its not full)

Look over all the skills on yourself and your heroes cuz a lot of stuff has been nerfed/buffed

Also read the update notes, especially for March (major quarterly update).

I'm always hesitant to direct people to PvX, but the builds at www.pvxwiki.com should give you a good idea of some of the most popular skills and skill combinations for players and heroes. Should help you get a good idea of what's considered powerful or weak since you've been gone. Of course, you should select skills that you understand and find to be fun or effective

Nicholas the Traveler, Zaishen Quests and the update that spawned it all.

You can now switch from European to American districts whenever you want. Due to this the most trading etc goes on in the American districts.

This is perhaps why the normal busy places aren't too busy for you.
